Tetra Forest Weaving with Day LightWhen Pluto was demoted by astronomers to a dwarf planet, not one astronomer asked the astrologers what they thought.    Astrologers would have said “you can demote Pluto all you like but its influence remains a very intense catalyst for human change and cannot be denied in any way shape or form.”

All planets discovered are named by astronomers, probably bc they discovered them, so of course they retain the right to name them.   One would think the astronomical community would consult with the astrological community over the naming of planets.   They don’t.

In the very olden days, only men were astronomers of course, so they named ALL the planets after male gods.   The only exception was with the Moon, which was equated with women’s menstruation cycles.    Interestingly, some mythologies in the East, the Moon is considered to be masculine while the Sun is named after a female deity!    So what about Venus?      Isn’t Venus a planet named after a female goddess?

Yes.

Only did you know a couple thousand years ago, Venus was thought to be two different stars by the Greek astronomers?    Venus originally had two different names after two young male gods who were thought to be particularly stunningly gorgeous. 🙂

Then later on, the astronomers realized that the bright beautiful star they see at night for 9 months after dusk was the same planet as the one they see again for 9 months in the predawn.  This time they named the planet Venus after a beautiful goddess.

The Moon and Venus are goddesses while all the other main players in the Pantheon are named after masculine gods.

We do have 4 large asteroids named after Goddesses in our astrology in the West, –
Vesta, Pallas Athena, Ceres, and Juno.

Recently i decided to weave in all the asteroids in my Astro -Energy Scarves to balance out my Pantheon of Planets.
i will put up some photos as soon as i complete this warp….
